Presenter: David Ness, Student Counselling Centre
Unfortunately, bullying and harassment continues to occur in our world, including within graduate school and all workplaces. Being subjected to bullying and/or harassment is painful and usually has significant impact on the person including lowering their self-worth and confidence, jeopardizing physical health, inducing a variety of negative emotional states like depression and anxiety and decreasing performance and enjoyment within a career.

This workshop will focus on how to respond to bullying and harassment as well as other types of difficult social situations that occur in graduate settings and the workplace while also maintaining your integrity and safety. Participants will be provided workshop materials following the session.

This session will be offered via Zoom and students are invited to participate as they would like (e.g., ask questions via chat function or live using audio and mic, activate video, simply listen, etc.). David Ness invites interested students with questions to email him at David.Ness@umanitoba.ca or call him at 204-474-8619.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
