Canada Graduate Scholarships – Master’s 2024: Applicant Workshop

Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 10:00 AM until 11:30 AMCentral Daylight Time UTC -05:00

This virtual, presentation-style workshop will be hosted by Dr. Todd Duhamel, Associate Dean, Faculty of Graduate Studies. It is designed for eligible Master’s Students who are considering applying for the harmonized Canada Graduate Scholarship – Master’s (CGS-M) program in the Fall of 2024.

Dr. Duhamel will provide perspective on the importance of storytelling within a scholarship application, the evaluation criteria, review process, and “ideal candidate” to assist students in proactively planning for the components of a strong application.

Students are strongly encouraged to review the Canada Graduate Scholarship – Master’s general information, eligibility, and application requirements prior to attending, as these details will not be the focus of the workshop. However, Allison Aubin, Awards Assistant for the Faculty of Graduate Studies Awards Team will be providing applicants with details on the application process, the importance of selecting the appropriate field of research, required materials to be included in the application, and reasons why applications are deemed ineligible.

Attendees can expect that the session will be recorded. If attendance at the workshop is not possible, interested students should still register and relevant information will be shared with all registrants within a week of the live presentation.
